Help Save My Mother’s Life: Support Mrs. Lidwin Fernandes’ Battle Against Breast Cancer

Dear Family, Friends, and Kind-Hearted Well-Wishers,
My name is Liza Fernandes, and I live with my father, Mr. Lawrence Fernandes, my mother, Mrs. Lidwin Fernandes, and my younger brother, Leston Fernandes, in the Holy Family Community of our Parish.
Our family is currently going through one of the most difficult periods of our lives. My mother, Mrs. Lidwin Fernandes, has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and urgently requires treatment. The estimated cost of her treatment, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, diagnostic investigations, hospital visits, and medicines, is approximately ₹8–10 lakhs.
My father was working in Kuwait as a house helper and was the sole earning member of our family. However, due to my mother’s deteriorating health and the impact of the Gulf War, he was compelled to return to India. Since then, our family has been struggling to manage financially.
I have recently completed my Class XII education, while my younger brother has completed Class X. Along with the mounting medical expenses, we are burdened with a housing loan of ₹30 lakhs, which carries a monthly EMI of ₹41,000. My father’s savings are insufficient to cover my mother’s treatment, loan repayments, our educational needs, and basic household expenses.
As a daughter, it is heartbreaking to watch my mother fight this illness while we struggle to arrange the funds needed for her treatment. We are doing everything within our means, but we cannot overcome this challenge alone.
We humbly appeal for your support. Any contribution, regardless of the amount, will go a long way in helping us provide timely treatment for my mother and ease the immense financial burden on our family.
